PROS: Their programmers are the best. The system is intuitive and so easy to learn. Every feature is easy - running reports, reconciling ERA, submitting claims, and correcting rejected claims are so much easier.The system has a clean clear interface - no guessing about how to enter something like insurance information or client information.

PROS: This tool is packed with all the things I need to conduct my research on the field of mental and behavioral health. From meeting appointments, to taking down notes, all the way to sending out invoices--this has been a truly useful tool for my craft. I find it impressive how easy to navigate this program is too. Compared to other programs, I can actually trust this software to help me make headway on my research.
CONS: I think that there should be more privacy and security levels in place instead of a one-step login. The nature of data that I put up on this software is classified and sensitive and I would rest more easily if I know that my account can’t be easily accessed.

PROS: Accessing patient files and schedule is quick and easy. TherapyNotes really makes it a point to make the lives of its users a lot less complicated.
CONS: I operate my sessions mainly on TherapyNotes so I get a little rattled whenever the system does not load properly--a thing that has been happening quite often now. It also takes up too much of my time to manually input all of my patients’ treatment plans. It would be helpful if the program would consider adding pre-set options that I can just choose from.

PROS: We manage a considerable number of clinicians in our business and TherapyNotes has made it a lot easier for us to manage their schedules. We can easily see whose calendar is jam-packed and whose isn’t, making it easy for us to evenly distribute appointments. We can pull up their upcoming schedules on real-time, allowing us to book clients without much conflict. Consequently, payouts are easier too because we can quickly see how many appointments have been successfully conducted and such.
CONS: I think it should be mandatory for our clinicians to update their calendars regularly so there’s no chance of a conflict in schedule. Also, it would be nice if we can add a section that highlights the clinician’s specialty so that we can book our clients accordingly. Right now, we have to open a different resource to double-check this information.

PROS: Therapy Notes gives little room for error when it comes to treating patients. It allows me to easily access the treatment history of my patients so I know the next logical step in helping them get better. Multi-tasking is not a problem when using this tool too--pulling up a patient’s data and cross-referencing it with their current treatment plan is not only possible, but easy too.
CONS: I think this might have more to do with my device, but I do notice that TherapyNotes requires a more robust hardware to function smoothly. The good news is that these crashes don’t happen often and I don’t lose data when it does.

PROS: For some reason, in my field, it has become increasingly difficult to track the money aspect of our business. Good thing TherapyNotes links our patients’ insurance into the software so we can check if they have enough support for their treatments. I can also view their maintaining unpaid balance at a glance.
CONS: This has nothing to do with the program itself, but I don’t feel comfortable in asking for payments from the patient myself.

PROS: TherapyNotes stores an impressive timeline of our patients’ history of treatments and diagnosis. It also allows me to quickly pull up their data even when I am in a session with a patient so I can cross-check the current plan with their previous treatments.
CONS: Sending out invoices can be such a tedious and manual process. Although there is a billing feature in place at TherapyNotes, it does not allow us to customize it according to the state’s template. This means that we’d have to manually input each information into a state-approved billing template. Aside from this, I can’t seem to track the history of the updates that I’ve made myself. It would be nice to know just when the latest version had been created so that I can cross-reference it to my other notes.

PROS: This has helped me treat clients more efficiently. How? For one, it has a systematic note-taking process in place that lets me fill out the client forms more quickly. With this supporting me, I can maximize the number of patients that I see in a day.
CONS: I’m not sure if this is a missing feature or if I just haven’t found the command for this yet, but I can’t seem to retrieve the notes I have on a patient by clicking on their name on my appointment calendar. If this feature still isn’t available yet, I would be glad if they added this to the list.

PROS: I was using a more expensive EHR that did not have online scheduling and paying for a separate online scheduling solution as well. TherapyNotes has saved me hundreds of dollars. The interface is much easier to navigate than our old system, and unlike our previous solution we aren't locked into a multi-year contract. Reports really help me look at revenue and spot problems quickly, and I can print a statement for a client right in session if desired. Easy to look things up in the electronic chart. I love it!
CONS: Honestly, it's hard for me to come up with any. We have found that it's a little more difficult to bill Federal employees and military clients now than before we switched (we end up resubmitting claims only for them) and I'm not sure whether this is a Therapy Notes issue or not.
