I think animated shorts are great videos to use in my classroom. I use video quizzes for review, remediation and introducing new topics. They engage students, and there is often a surprise or twist. Also, my language learners don’t struggle with the dialogue in many animated shorts. Videos are no longer just for entertainment.

Here is an additional alternative classroom or individual activity. February 17, 2024 is Random Acts of Kindness Day. Since this year it falls on a weekend date, let’s get a head start on being kind!
For an even more inclusive alternative to Valentine’s Day festivities, consider incorporating a “Random Act of Kindness Day” Randomness spinner into a classroom activity.
